Yuvakula – Helping Young Minds Learn & Thrive

Yuvakula is a value-based community learning program located in Avalahalli,Bangalore, running in our Project Smile Community Center, serving children and youth from underserved neighbourhoods. We create a safe, encouraging space where children can learn, explore their interests, and grow with confidence, regardless of their background.

At Yuvakula, we work to even out the platform, ensuring every child gets the opportunity to learn, try, and thrive in the world.

Impact Stories from Yuvakula

What began as regular Taekwondo practice at Yuvakula became a moment of pride for the entire community.

At a state-level inter-school Taekwondo competition, 14 children from Avalahalli competed under the World Taekwondo (WT) Federation, showing discipline, courage, and confidence.

The results:

1. 🥇 3 Gold
2. 🥈 5 Silver
3. 🥉 4 Bronze

Learning Through Curiosity - The Robot Story

At Yuvakula’s Makers Lab, learning doesn’t always come from textbooks.

With no formal classes, just curiosity and access, children taught themselves by watching online videos and experimenting together.

Soon, they built an obstacle-avoiding robot, learning problem-solving, teamwork, and self-learning along the way.

This is what happens when children are trusted, encouraged, and given space to explore what excites them.
